you should upgrade to 2.71 (http://dl.qj.net/Firmware-2.71-PSP/pg/12/fid/8046/catid/163) and use ChillyWilly's Corruption free Downgrader (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=53043).... Do you know what MOBO you have??

You need version 2.00 gta game for 2.6 downgrade. Or you can upgrade to 2.71 and then downgrade, find all the downgrader from here http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=80284

if you have a TA-082 or TA-086 it wuld be safer to upgrade to 2.71 and use Corruption free downgrade...... Links are in my above post (in bold;) )
