Because it's been asked a lot, this will make it easy for anyone to create a recovery mode EBOOT.

To use:

-COPY- your recovery.prx to the work directory and run one of the .bat files to create a EBOOT. Icon0.png and pic1.png go into the same directory, if you want to use them.

maker-plain.bat: Will build a EBOOT with no icons.
maker-with-icon0.bat: Will build an EBOOT using a icon0.png that you provide.
maker-with-icon0-pic1.bat: Will build an EBOOT using a icon0.png and pic1.png that you provide.

EBOOT-to-PRX.bat:

Only use on EBOOT's made with this setup.

Will take a recovery mode EBOOT and turn it back into a recovery.prx.

Edit:

Made a quick and simpler pack and unpacker, that does not need Cygwin. It works the same but without the need of all the DLL's.

All I did was compile the tools and make some batch files, this is not my work.

It will make and prx into a eboot yes, if it will work I don't know. Just edit the .bat, change the mksfo and mv lines to fit your needs.

I used this App to create recovery mode eboots for all previous custom firmwares on my Phat PSP and everything was fine. I now have a Slim PSP running 3.71 M33-2 and I was wondiring if anyone can tell me how to make one for this custom firmware.
The old one used to go into the GAME150 folder but this wont work on the Slim. I tried copying the recovery.prx from somewhere in flash 0 and created the eboot. I then tried it in different places on the stick but no joy.
It's not life or death I was just trying to get my Slim to have all the same stuff I had on my fat. I've got all my icons, gameboot and sounds to work with CXMB but i'm stuck with this.

Make recovery eboot is pritty easy.

- Copy your recovery.prx from flash0 to PC

- Rename recovery.prx to DATA.PSP and download the files from below

- Now open PBPUnpacker and make a new eboot from the files DATA.PSP, DATA.PSAR, PARAM.SFO.

- Voila you have made a recovery eboot so you can launch recovery from xmb menu

- You can download the pic below to have a nice PIC1.PNG ;)

I gave this a shot as well, and I may be a noob.. but I would think this is not working out cause the Data.PSAR and Param.SFO that were provided were from 3.52 m33-2, and I am using the recovery.prx from 3.90 m33.

Just spent a little time remaking my Pandora Stick with all the Elf apps and tweeks. And for some reason.. I got to say that I could have swear that I came across the Data.PSAR and Param.SFO for DDC v4.. But that was for getting the USB.prx's out of the Data.PSAR from 1.50. Problem is that its 3.80. Not sure if that would matter too much given the similarities between the 3.80 and 3.90.

But I am starting to ramble.. :o

Boot vshmenu up and reboot your PSP.
hold R and you can get into recovery mode.
or use this:

you don't have to make eboot using recovery.prx this way.
I don't know if it works on 3.90M33 so tell me if this went successful.

Boot vshmenu up and reboot your PSP.
hold R and you can get into recovery mode.

The standard recovery via the Vshmenu>Reboot>Hold R.. That works and I never had a problem with that method.

I was trying to create the recovery eboot with the files that were provided from undertaxx. I am still curious.. whats the point of creating a recovery mode eboot, when you have the vshmenu method. Or is there something that I am missing.

I initially tried to create the recovery eboot just to mess around :D and saw that there was something in the recovery menu about it.

Thanks inadvance.
