Developed by Media Molecule, LittleBigPlanet is a new PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system community-based game with a hugely innovative concept behind it. Players meet on a blue and green planet scattered with individual plots – and use their character’s amazing abilities to play, create and share what they build with other gamers throughout the world via PlayStation Network.

The LittleBigPlanet experience starts with players learning about their character’s powers to interact physically with the environment. There are places to explore, creative resources to collect and puzzles to solve – all requiring a combination of brains and collaborative teamwork. As soon as players begin their creative skills will grow and they will soon be ready to start creating and modifying their surroundings – the first step to sharing them with the whole community.

Characters have the power to move anything in this glued and stitched-together 3D landscape; they have the power to design, shape and build both objects and entire locations for others to view and play. There’s no complicated level editor; all of these skills can be learned by simply playing the game. Creativity is part of the gameplay experience and playing is part of the creative experience. Players can make their world as open or as secretive to explore as they like. When it’s ready, they can invite anyone within the LittleBigPlanet community to come and explore their patch – or can go and explore everybody else’s.

I got the system because I have hopes for it but when all you see is people that own the system live in denial like it rules right now it gets you pissed when you know for a fact it isn't the case. when a game comes out thats exclusive that merits the purchase i'll sing a better tune but right now the only exclusive games like rub a dub and motorstorm aren't getting me excited, sorry

Rofl. Said perfectly. I've always supported the PS3, just not Sony for what they've done to it. The people on here who, are obviously owners, act like the PS3 is the best console to date and the rest of them suck annoys me. I'm all for being a fan of a console, but being a fanboy is another thing.

As a note to the game, it looks alright. I'd much rather see a Lost Vikings III than this, but I can't hold my breath.

You and Sigma seem to be the only PS3 owners, aside from several other like Wackawookie, that are level headed and don't just fight over personal feelings, but gaming, I respect that. :) Though back to topic, I agree that it's a great game for everyone. But unless it gets really difficult and you have to really have to think to finish a level, I don't think it will be that fun.

Geez... i can't believe you people!! What is so wrong about having an opinion. The problem nowadays is that people tend to judge just too much. Whoever appreciate the PS3 well then so be it. And for the owners that doesn't, same goes!

I personally have a PS3 and as far as it goes for me my opinion tends to go with Whackawookie. It's a great piece of hardware and as great potential. It's not a freaking hardware failure like my Xbox 360, it kills my Wii in terms of graphics and not only can it play DVD but BluRay too.

Does it mean, it's only a big wonder with no flaws and nothing to improve? Y'all can brag like the PS3 is all there is but thanks to the competition Sony won't believe that crap and leave it as it is. They need to improve and same goes for 360 with their hardware failure, Wii with ports and unaccuracy.

I have both a 360 and a PS3. Atm I play more 360 and PS2 games (on my PS3), but thats not to say that one console is better than the other! It is also ignorant for people not to see the potential of this game.

I agree the same xbots fanboys always pop up in the PS3 threads and start bashing (not naming names) but I found that leaving them to it and laughing at them with my mates in RL is much more fun than rising to their insecure bait.

For instance atm my mates and I are still laughing at Zeus's EA fictional "story". Leave em at it and laugh at them, cuz thats all the time they are worth to TRUE game lovers.

I dont bash the 360. In fact the 360 is the best console I own at this time, but that might change with games/time etc. Its the rabbid fanbots like you that I have a go at, making out the PS3 is **** because of your own little insecurities.. just get over it and move on.

As for the pic, I said I believe Wookie, but it doesnt deserve an OWNED reply due to the fact I can get the same TYPES of pictures from AVforums and AVSforums and claim them as my own, therefore you should think before you speak. I was commenting on that fact that others wont believe it cuz it is just a picture of what could be ANYONES setup.

Its also odd that he buys so many Sony things (that pic has a few sony devices), yet has no trouble putting Sony down when ever he gets the chance...
