firmware flash question

i have updated my console with the most up to date xbox live patch. i was wondering even though i have updated my console if i can still flash it. i will be using a VIA VT64241A pci card and xtremebootmaker 5.3 (rc1) also Samsung TS-H943A-m25 . i just scared if i flash a updated console it might error or brick my console.

No even though you have updated you are still able to flash to 5.3. Just follow the guides and you will be fine. If you still need more help, post back here.

thanks for the help. i got only one question is 5.3 as easy to flash as previous firmwares or do you have to do extra steps to bypass ms security
