so this means that all what we should do in each version is just check the pops.prx for the GameID's to know which game is fully compatable

Because if we use the Biohazard 2 ID everytime on not working games, its gonna mess up the game saves each time we load the game. so we need a way to use a different ID but make the game still playable:)

i didnt edited the save id, only the game id but it still overwrote my biohazard 2 save, i had the biohazard 2 icon0 with the resident evil 2 save title and the "icon0" is different for both games/version,

yeah it will be the same icon.. but afaik each "save folder" has around 20 available blocks. so it shouldn't be too much of a problem..

yep, anyway, ill not play biohazard 2 now that RE2 works too...but too bad that PE2 still doesnt work, i thought this solution will fix most of the non working games...so i guess PE2 has a different problem than RE2 :(

This is an amazing find! It just fixed the voices in the cutscenes of Dino Crisis. I just used SLPS-02180 as GameID and the voices are back!

Try PE2 with Brave Fencer Musashi id, or some other game which has a similiar crash at the startup screen.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for this smart fix. Since Brave Fencer Musashi is listed in the post above, I tried to apply the japanese ID of Brave Fencer Musashi (SLPS01490) on the US version of this game. But strangely enough, it didn't work (black screen at the start).
When I used the Bio Hazard ID (SLPS01222), I got past the black screen. It's strange that the fix for BH 2 is working better than the one intended for Musashi itself, but well... :p

Even though Brave Fencer Musashiden's Japanese ID is in that list, it still doesn't work when you use that ID, it only works with the BH2 ID.

I tried all three known BFM Japanese ID codes, and none of them worked.

Tried Chrono Cross with Biohazard2 ID - sound lags + sound slowdown BUT no more crashes during the boss fights, lol.
But its unplayable with all these sound glitches.


Tried it second time - this time with Soul Edge JP id (listed in the fix list) - nothing changed. Everything works perfect but crashes on boss fights.



Anyone tried other games?

Star Ocean 2 skill crashes? Legend of Mana crashes?

Speaking of brave fencer musashi.... ive played the game a bit and its working perfectly. The slowdowns are there but setting up the clockspeed to 333mhz using cwcheat helps a bit.

An advice: dont change the savegame id, just the sony ID of the game using the same of biohazard 2. i confirm that the cheats using cwcheat are working as well :D

Tested ALL the ids with Tomb Raider 2 pal but they doesnt help....
So i've gone back to OE3.10 and use popsloader to 3.03...
There it works and the other tombraiders too....

Played a bit of Legend of Mana with the BH2 code. No graphics glitch after the third attack, but you do disappear for a second. I need to load up a different MCR file to see if it still crashes when I place the Golden Seed on the map - that was the only crash I know about - if there are others let me know, and I'll try to test it out.
