Hello is there a reason why there are no new games out for the original Xbox?

No one wants to support it since the next gen consoles are out. MS already said they arn't supporting it anymore leaving it to the 3rd party market. PS2 and Gamecube isn't that much better, and will ge getting worse as well.

Xbox Support officially died at the end of last month when Bungie released the final content for the Xbox in the form of 2 new maps for Halo 2. Though it did get longer support games wise than the GC did. The PS2 is the only console that will be getting games for it from this point on, and they're not any top notch games. Spider-Man 3 is the last game for the PS2 that I would even look at, which I wouldn't for long since I could get it for my 360. GC doesn't have anymore games coming out for it, unless you're a Sony fanboy and constantly call the Wii a Gamecube. lol.

There are still a handful of games schedueled to come out on both the Xbox (3 in NA, 1 in JPN) and Gamecube (4 in NA), but development has now switched to the next/new gen platforms.

06/26 - Ratatouille
07/17 - NCAA Football 08
08/14 - Madden NFL 08
Some places have a few more games, like Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Marvel Nemesis 2 slated for release.
