hi team.........my local EBgames are selling PAL Gamecube for $41 US......
what PAL Gamecube model should i ask for..... ie , reliable stable machine , stable laser pickup , and with component output if possible ...
what Mod should i go for ? ....
im planning to use a Modified Case to run full size DVD-R.
also if a game is NTSC will it run 60hz on PAL ?.....
PS.....Network Adapter streaming and USB ISO streaming really interests me , but cant find hardly any info .....is it not reliable ?
with Network Adapter streaming is it possible to reach 100MBit transfer speed ? ......or is it still limited to 10MBit ?
any help is great

I have a DOL 001 UK PAL Model. Runs 60hz Pal or NTSC No Problems.
It also has the digital port out for component and audio.
Also have a Viper Extreme Fitted and works flawlessly.
Its a limited edition resident evil 4 model, quite cheap to pick up so if you look for one of these you should get all you need.
I dont think they would have released a limited ed resident evil 4 model without the digital outputs as if its a limited edition, would think its from the same batch.

No worries glad to help.
Mathieulh has posted a revision guide for all the gamecubes which probably aids identication better.
I know the later packs, ie Smash Football packs do not have digital out as have had one of those.
Will be getting my hands on a silver one bundled with the zelda special edition later in the week, will check that out.
Think your best bet is to ask before you buy, are you in the uk or us?

You just need to configure Gamecube and pc ip, connect them with crossover cable, and use some streaming program. That's it.
Here's a little outdated guide, but it works: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/61273

It is possible. The patch is in many streaming programs.
The game streaming scene is quite dead, because it's alot better to use DVDs.

"The patch is in many streaming programs."...........thats great news toad86........i will stick to DVD , based on your comments and the scenes history and preference.

DVD's is the way to go. I have never tried the streaming , always thought it quite pointless and had heard video playback suffered in the early days. Plus I thought you needed a BBA.
Didnt I read somewhere that it was possible to play streamed games through a save exploit in Phantasy Star without modding the console?
Thats going back a few years, one of the comments made at the time was the 10mb limit on the BBA was too slow.
$41 for a Cube is a steal, love the things.
