I have a 3.03 OE-C w/ the default folder as 3.03 and i recently got Final Fantasy Tactics.

Whenever i try to load the game the xmb dissapears. The only thing that shows up is the xmb wave, so....can anyone help me?

fyi - I've also tried GT2 and final fantasy VII, but those didn't work also.

Its because of your custom coldboot.

There is a workaround that bstronga figured out, search for the "custom coldboot with working psx emulator" thread... or something like that.

If you can find that, you will be able to figure it out.

Basically you need an original 3.03 opening_plugin.rco, and you have to rename it to 0pening_plugin.rco, (zero) and have two of them on your flash... you then have to hex edit a specific plugin to look for the original when loading a game.

a bit of a pain in the ass... but worth it if you want custom ****.

this question belongs in the ps1 emulation sub-forum...

are you placing the eboot file in its own folder and under /psp/game?

If you notice his post count is only 2 at the time i am posting this, he doesnt know much. He hasnt been on the forum for too long either, so that explains a lot. The bstronga's thread is here: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=49001
Just incase anyone else or you have this problem.:)

I just realized I had this issue right before I went to bed lastnight. I tried the PSX games on my other PSP which is a completely stock 3.10 OE, and they worked fine. It's good to know what the issue is though. I'll likely revert everything back to stock just to avoid any further issues.
