Hi Everyone,

I'm relatively new to the psp scene and I've been searching everywhere for some help on the problem I'm having. The situation is as below.

PSP with 3.03 OE-A with 2gb fake memory stick.
PSP with 3.03 OE-A with 4gb fake memory stick.

I have formatted the 4gb memory stick and it has exactly the same files and folders as the 2gb but it is unable to load iso. Gets error (80020148)

I have also tried formatting in FAT16 as a website advised but still no luck.
I have tried a number different iso's that work on the 2gb with the same error.
The 2gb memory stick works on both psp's without any trouble.

If anyone would be kind enough to give me a hand with getting the 4gb mem stick working it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Im not sure but i think u should go to the recovery menu (by holding the R shoulder when u turn on the psp), then go to configuration -> use no-umd (disabled) after that exit and try the iso but make sure there's a umd in the drive. Hope that helps ;) .

This happened with me with faulty fake MS card

So my advise is to exchange it with another one

tell the shop keeper it doesnt work.....

Also because it is a fake MS card any game which is about > 950MB will not be playable.......belive me i have tried many games with the same problem (lags, vvvvv slow,....etc)

QFT.

Fake MS are not merely pirate copies - they are inferior cheap garbage that may or may not work at any given time, and can eventually just stop working altogether.

You're just wasting your time with them. If you can get a refund, send the trash back ASAP and get real MS.

The fake cards have varied quality. Some of them work just as well as genuine ones, while some of them are practically useless. So if you got a fake card that works great, thank your lucky stars :). Else, time to invest some money in a genuine memory stick.
