no AA + no AF + low poly models isnt pretty, stick with 2D

Personally I think it looks a lot better than I expected. DS limitations aside it does look rather good, I guess we will have to wait and see if it plays well to.

Custom Robo 3D was actually quite pleasantful.. When I looked at screens, I thought it was horrid, but when I played it, quite the difference.

It looks fine given the tiny screen. The 3d in Metroid Hunters was nice, and the 3d in Animal Crossing was even better. It's true that it doesn't have FSAA but seriously, get a grip. People survived, and even dare I say ENJOYED playstation1 games, none of which had FSAA or really looked much better than the DS.

Sure, if the PS3 looked like the PS1, it would be unacceptable...just on principle.. However, the DS is a handheld so I think it's more forgivable. Even the FSAA on the PSP isn't really that great (although certainly it's a lot better than the DS).

Mostly on your mother's face. And I would hardly put brain age and ninja gaiden in the same category. Brain age is a puzzle/quiz type game... this is an action game... you do the math genious.

The game looks good (has potential) to me...

I now have both a PSP and a DS, and even though I like my PSP the DS for its technology does a pretty good job, the PSP appears to be still the back seat driver, nothing has really pushed the PSP, the PSP to me but for only a few games seems to be lacking something, on the other hand the DS seems to improve all the time... maybe because the DS has a less powerful spec I expect less from it, where as the powerful PSP seems not to be so impresive as a gaming device or just shows nothing new...

There are plenty of awful looking 3D games on the DS, yeah, but there are some good looking ones too. Mario Kart DS looks good. Final Fantasy III looks very nice. Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam looks good. Animal Crossing looks good. The videos of the upcoming Dragon Sword game and Final Fantasy: Chocobo Tales games both look impressive.

If they apply the right tricks and really care about getting it right (unlike most developers who just throw 3D onto the DS quickly without caring) I'm sure they can make it look nice. The stylus control, on the other hand... *shrug* I'll trust them, seeing as they've already made an incredible action game and clearly know what it takes. I hope they can pull it off.

EDIT: Forgot about Brothers in Arms (http://gonintendo.com/?p=15594) (link goes to screenshots), another 3D DS game looking extremely nice.
