microsoft relase new patch to foil homebrewers on jan 9th

anyone heard about the patch microsoft are bringing out next year to barr people with abnormal bios and dashboards from xbox live? ive had mine flashed and i was wondering that,as long as i dont play games before they are out,they wont be able to tell? what with only the dvd being altered.

since the dvd drive hack is mainly used to play backups, which look identical to originals when played on live, then they cant do anything. :D
