Does anyone have any sources of PIC chips suitable for WiiFree in the UK?

The best I can find is Maplins at £1.50 each, or Ebay (From abroad).. There must be a better source than this!

i ordered a bunch of them off a place called "Samplechips.com" or something like that for nothing but the catch is you gotta have a business email or something liek that to get them and your only allowed 8 chips for free per 40 days i think.. i just created a couple of accounts and ordered mainly PIC 12f629s but i think i got a couple of 12f675's aswell

Cheers for that.. I work for a world leading Communications Manufacturer, so business email address's are not a problem for me....

I have taken a look and am still confused as to why they would just give 'samples' as its seems too good to be true..

Why 'package' do I need?? You get the option of

- QFN
- DFN
- PDIP
- SOIC

They are all 8 pin type, so I don't understand what the difference is!

Did you order some of each, or can you just order 8 of one type?

5 chips minimum about 80p each, or less if you are buying more.
