Hello all... Ok I have a prob. my bro's xbox360 (Hitachi-LG 47DH) stop reading disc, only would read after 20 or so ejects.. anyways I reflashed to original and then upgraded to 1.3 again and it stopped working. The unit will turn on and center led blinks green rapid, and then goes to E 65, the drive will not eject at all. If I open the eject the drive manauly then the system boots up and goes to the dashboard. It doesnt load games or movies..

Ok so I went and got me a new drive that was working, it is a 59DJ, I followed all the info I found on the net on how to extract the firmware and I saved it. I then extraced the key out of the 47DH's original firmware I had backedup ona disc. I placed the key in the 59DJ's firmware using toolbox 3.0 I then generated an encrypted file like i was told. I flashed it to the drive using " 59flash e orignew-e.bin 90004000 1000 ". All was good. I then used the drive with the original key from the 47 on the 59's drive and updated to 1.3 firmware. and now the drive acts just the same as the 47DH now.. it wont eject and wont play.. the only differance is the 59DJ when powered on shows a solid green led in the center of the power, not flash green like the 47DH..

Does anyone know what happened... please anyone

thats the sign of bad flash,i dont think there is anything you can do now bar send it away and have someone sort it.

they will have to use an external programmer and remove the sst flash rom from the pcb and reprogramme it.

I tried using 2.3 but when ever I ran flash16s or flash23s it would tell me my drive version could not be detected and it wasnt in mode b. but i was seen in windows, and by birdy flash tool and also toolbox 3.0

so i had no choice but to use birdy's

and now look what happend

and you know the drive laser i got for sale in my siggy its from a perfectly good working hitachi 46d.i even flashed it with garyopas 8in1 v2.3r2.

swaytech.org offer this service as well.they are in the uk.they charge you £35 including delivery even if your in usa,so i cant see them turning you down in canada.

if you want that drive with international shipping it will turn out about £65.00 so you would have to recalculate it into canadian dollars.and the £65.00 is just a rough guess.

anyways what i done is i put the laser back in the hitachi 46d,i already flashed it so i got the was.bin (original firmware) so i will try what you done, either tonight or tomorrow, because if i can get another key into it,i can offer that as well to someone in need and put their key into it.

all i can add is that birdys flashers are a no go for lots of people they are synoninous with bricking.
