As I was disabling the icons and shadows on my topmenu this morning, I had an idea...

The tex_fcs_.bmp Flashes on & off behind every icon, making it look like its got a strobe like glow behind it. In theory, why couldn't this be utilized to add a few sprites that flash on & off, giving the icon the illusion of being animated?

I will test this theory as soon as I get some more free time. Maybe it will work?

It's an interesting concept... Could be one more thing we can pimp our XMBs with

UPDATE: I'll post more on this later...

well it can't really be animated, but if you look at the gif on my 1st post, you will see, using the tex_focus you can create at least the illusion of animation. now get to making some cool icons people !! :D

NOTE: this wouldn't work with a 480x272 bg, because it corrupts the icons. So if you want a bg with more than just color gradients, then resize it to 250x142. Then rename it to 01-12.bmp
