A thread thats probably been posted lots of times before but i neither have the time or patience to trawl through the Internet searching for this topic. So I thought I'd ask you nice guys here at Maxconsole - Here's my question laid flat on the table -
I have a flashed Hitachi 059 XBox360. Trying to backup some old XBox 1 games. Made the ISO of Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy. Burned it onto Single Layer DVD using ImgBurn and after putting it in the Xbox 360 it says
"This original XBox game has encountered a problem and can't continue. For more info, go to www.xbox.com/support. X: 5014.0 B:1884.0"
Now I've had a brief search and read some old posts saying only the Samsung 360 drives can play backed up XBox 1 games.....is this still true? I ask because I read somewhere that if XBox 1 games are burned onto DL DVDs they work in Hitachi drives.
Please help me or give me a link to a guide which will tell me how to backup XBox 1 games for the Hitachi 360 drive!
Thanks

there is supposed to be an xtreme5 version firmware for the hitachi coming out.when i do not know.there was an article bout it weeks ago.
just a matter of patience.even if you had a samsung you still have to flash it with the relevant firmware that supports single layer dvdr media.

Ok thanks. When I try burning onto DL DVD tho it says:
"User Specified layer break position is such that L0<L1 - THIS IS NOT ALLOWED!
Image size: 1,635,104
User specified L0 sectors: 1,913,760
Calculated L1 sectors: 4,294,688,640
Would you like to continue anyway?"
Whats that about? Shall I just continue and burn onto the disc?

Are you trying to burn xbox1 iso's that you have previously used on single layer DVD's for and xbox1?
I ask because I have a number of xbox1 ISO's that I had ripped for my xbox1 and couldnt get any of them to work on my 360. In the end, I had to use XDVDMulleter to check and rebuild the ISO's and burn them to a DL DVD (verbatim). This worked with most but there were still a couple that wouldnt play. The down side is that the resulting ISO ends up being about 7GB. The .xbe file also needs to unpatched for it to work.

Ok i got XDVDmulleter and have opened up my ISO in it......what option do i have to tick to rebuild the ISO?
Create DVD9 ISO with Zeroed padding (Xtreme compatible + Video)
Create DVD5 ISO (Xtreme Compatible + Video)
Create standard ISO (Xbox1 or Xtreme5+)
Create Standard XBOX 1 ISO (No XBE checks)
Create a cloned DVD9 ISO (Xtreme compatible if source is good)
???? thanks

Right, I tried creating ISOs with the "Standard ISO" and "Standard XBox 1 ISO" options and both times they only created a 4.37GB ISO...so they obviously werent the solutions. Then I tried creating a DVD9 ISO and it did actually create an ISO just over 7GB. So i burned it to DL DVD using ImgBurn and popped it in my 360. The Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy game loaded up fine to the main menu and played the intro video fine. However when it tried to start the game so I could control the character an in-game error came up saying:
"A read error has occured. This disc is dirty or damaged"
Now I know the disc is flawless cos it came straight out of the packet. So it's obviously a bad ISO I created. I didn't tick any of the options to insert an SS or PFI into my created ISO...could this be a possible problem?
Also are there certain settings on Imgburn that need ticking in order to burn an XBox 1 game?
Thanks
