I'm guessing your currently running 3.11 firmware if you are your not gonna be able to just run the 3.03 Firmware eboot to downgrade it Sony is not that stupid anymore, you have to wait for a downgrade to be made for your firmware.

Try swapping it at the place you bought it alot of people seem to have alot of luck doing that or buy another one and don't go updating it with the latest Sony firmware.

Another option is buy a 1.5/OE PSP off ebay since sellers are now offering PSP systems pre flashed with 1.5 or a version of OE
