I was flashing my 360 using the slax method and forgot to turn the 360 on. The slax cd booted, (pretty sure it didn't work) yet my computer recognized the dvd drive, assigned it a letter which i could look into the properties of, but i couldn't flash (therefore I don't think it went into the debug mode). I tried again, this time not being a complete dumbass and remembering to turn the 360 on. The slax cd worked and everything went fine. When i went to My Computer, there were three DVD drives shown. My computer's, the 360's, and the 360's again. The drive letter assigned to the drive i messed up on was not changed, and I accessed and flashed the DVD drive through the new letter. Finally, when it was all done, my drive worked fine (have no backups to test yet, but it can get into modeb), but the drive that I messed up on was left on My Computer as an idiot brand. Does anyone know why this happened? In case it makes a difference, I set my bios to universal Plug and Play just before booting the slax CD the first time.
If this was answered before, my bad. Don't waste your life flaming.
