Guys, just wondering which flash cart is the best: dx-extreme or M3 or what?
I'm new to this scene, bored of hacking the psp!
thanks in advance

I think the M3 Simply is the best. DS-X seems over priced by comparison and unless you are interested in .gba stuff everything else works with the M3/R4

I prefer the G6 and surprisingly the MK5 is actually good and works as advertised. G6 is NDS/GBA while the MK5 is just NDS (slot 1).
The M3 benefits from no need for the NDS to be plugged into your computer to add ROMs and you're limited only by your SD card's meg size. While the G6 and MK5 have a fixed memory but also higher compatibility.

M3 lite perfect is my vote, it can run pretty much anything if you know what you're doing.

The R4DS seems the best for as a single slot-1 solution. It's basically the same as the M3 Simply except for software update frequency. R4DS updates their software quicker than M3 Simply, who has to convert R4's updates to function on their cart. http://www.r4ds.com
As for running things such as cheats or GBA games, you'd need a slot-2. R4 also supports using Slot-2 carts.

m3 simply (i have it) and r4 are your best bets for cheap slot-1 solutions..they are made by the same manufacturer and are very reliable. dont get ds-extreme unless you dont want expandable memory.

I think the best will probably end up being the G6/M3 Real cards that are coming out in a couple of weeks. There aren't alot of details about them yet but based on their track record I would count on them being as good or better than anything currently available.

Thats most likely because the people in the DS section are usually pretty good about following the rules: both spoken and unspoken. I didn't recognize the yellow icon next to the thread either. Look at some of the other forums on MC. They can be pretty scary. (retroboy)

If I want to play ds and gba games on my ds lite, does that mean I need a slot-2 setup (my gba carts, not necessarily backups, same for ds games).
