Help a fourth of my screen isnt illuminating

my psp screen is lighting up correctly any suggestions i would really appreicate it

Have you dropped the PSP or dropped anything on it? The only thing I can think of is you screen is going bad. Might just need to get a new one.

Hmm, is it a TA-082 as I know these have problems with the backlight not working at all, could be connected, other than that, I would suggest opening your PSP and making sure that all the cables are sitting properly, I suggest this as a flatscreen monitor I fixed had a loose cable stoping the backlight staying on for long.

Anyway, if that doesn't fix your problem I would have a serious think about what you've done homebrew wise lately, not likely to be software related, but it is posssible...

If you can't fix it then I suggest using AcidMods (http://www.acidmods.com) to buy a new screen, they are generally cheaper than most places, and you WILL get your products, unlike taking a risk with getting faulty products as with Ebay.

Anyway, sorry I couldn't be any more help, I think its most likely to be hardware, so have a fiddle with cables (namely the ribben cable for the screen), and if not, buy a new screen.

i bought the psp at launch and the problem comes and goes now its probably the screen, looks like i need a new screen.:( oh well time to spend some more money
