First off this may just be something weird with my computer...

When I burn Iso's, when I put the disc into my computer after burning it shows it as an empty but finished DVD.

I haven't gotten my modchip yet, so I can't test them out on the wii...but are you soposed to be able to read the DVD-R copies in a computer once they have been burnt?

Also I take it you can't open the Iso's in Winrar? All of mine have been saying corrupt volume.

I've tried about 5 Iso's so I figured maeby someone on here knows whats going on.

Thanks in advance, and appologies if this has been asked before...(looked around and didn't find anything).

wii isos have a weird file structure and are not openable in winrar, use gctool and make sure their unscrambled, and your burner cant read the dvd's so until you get your wii youll never know, unless you go syndicate iso loader:)

the iso burned dvds ive made show up as "blank cd" on the computer after it spends quite some time trying to read it. i assumed this was me doing something wrong but come to think of it, if it has worked then there is no reason why the computer should be able to read them, right? i guess i'll find out once i get a chip installed. in the meantime, to be on the safe side ive backed up the iso file on its own (ie a data dvd with this one .iso file on it) in case ive burnt it wrong and need to burn some more. also useful if theres patches in the future.

dude, you cant do it,you will not be able to see the files because of the wiis weird format, its not your computer that decides weather the data is burnable or not,its the burner it just burns whatever its told to,try reading a burnt 360 game with win explorer, nadda just some movie files
