if i have a transflash in my computer(aka the one that comes in r4) and i donwload things such as roms into the transflash directly into it, will the computer lose the same memory?
becuase my computer is really slow and i want to download homebrews, backups, ect..without makeing the computer slower..
edit:another quick question, what does "flashing" a ds mean?i heard you have to do it to play download play?so you can't just play download play with a r4,with some one else?please can someone explain this?

1) I don't think downloading directly to your transflash card will make the computer will lose space... you could check one and see.
2) I don't think that you can download play, but Wifi play after flashing your DS. The only difference is that you don't have a warranty and possibly the Health screen.
I could be wrong about download play^^

1. No. Think of it like you're just copying the file from your PC to your TF card. You won't lose any memory/space/whatever for copying from PC to TF...if that makes any sense.
2. RE: FlashMe. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FlashMe) I have a FlashMe'd DS, used it for my SuperCard SD before I got my R4. That wiki has everything you need to know regarding FlashMe.
The "Health Screen" is that screen that pops up when you turn on your NDS/NDSL, the white screens that have all the safety and warning issues. With FlashMe, it will by-pass that screen and either boot straight to the DS main screen or if you have a Slot 2 card inserted, it will go directly to that.
