Iv tried to connect using DSaim and all it does after i use my name and pw is look for a wifi connection. I have mine setup and the router is right near my computer. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?
Edit: At first i thought It was just aim that wasnt working, but no homebrew apps work on wifi. I can play DS roms over wifi fine, but nothing else can find an access point even tho theres one there.
So does anyone know the answer to this?

DSAim is older... I wouldn't expect it to be M3 Simply compatible, but it may be a router problem or something.

are there any other programs for the DS that will allow me to use Aim?

Ummm... let's see here. I couldn't find anything else last time I looked... I'll check. I don't think so. Did you see the new one posted here under Homebrew Games, Apps, and Emulators. See if that will work.

Come to find out, its not just aim. Its almost every homebrew app. Weather,Wifi penchat, Aim. None of them can connect to wifi, yet when i load a Rom like Mario Kart it can connect to Wifi. Any idea what I can do to fix this?
I can connect to IRC tho which i really dont get.

Had the same problem with DS weather, about the wifi connecting, turns out you need to patch the homebrew/application to actuallly get it running.
You can find the patching software here:http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/DLDI/
be sure you download the right device patcher(i.e. the r4/m3 patcher or whatever mod you have) and patcher software.
here is a quote/tip from a website i found that help fix the wifi connecting problem:"New and maintained homebrew may require DLDI patching to run successfully." "PAlib Note: Some homebrew made with the PAlib library do not function properly, leading to loss of touchscreen use, sound and/or choppy graphics. As a result, these homebrews can be unplayable due to lack of proper controls. This has been fixed with PAlib 070206 for devkitPro r20 however not all projects have been updated for these new releases."
Hope I could help all you guys:D

Well, if you have a Ram Expansion for your DS, I've had great results using all of my messengers on the go through Opera for DS and http://www.ebuddy.com/mobile/ .
Works great in a pinch.

When the homebrew web browser is released, you can take comfort in knowing that ebuddy/mobile is there waiting for you :)
