Hey everyone,

Im new here and I'll get right to the reason I joined. I am really lost regarding different add ons that you can use with DSL's.

Specifically Max Media Dock (wich I now own) and M3 simply / R4 (which I am wondering if I should purchase).

If this is the inccorect place to post the following question please feel free to forward my question to the correct forum...

I have a MMD and am playing Advanced Wars Ds on it. The game play's smooth but anytime I try to view specific information regarding each indiviual unit in the game the graphics are jumbled so I can't read all the stats.

Would this not be a problem if I purchased the M3 simply or R4? Would the game appear as clean as my acctuall DS game I bought from Target if I used the rom on the M3 simply or R4?

Also I have read the R4 and M3 simply are about the same. Which do you suggest I purchase.

Here is a list of games I would like to be able to play without any problems:

Kirby Canvas Curse, Mario vs. DK Mini 2, FFIII US ver., Cooking Momma, Hotel Dusk, Harvest Moon Ds, Avanced Wars Ds,

If there are any glitches in these games by using the M3 simply or R4 please feel free to post them.

Im really upset with my purchase of my Max Media Dock and want to make an informed desision this time.

Thank you for reading

do not compare the MMD with R4 and m3, these are the best slot one carts. on the market, all the games mention works fine, if you have read all the other post about the R4 and M3 are the same, why ask again?

My question was a bit more than just "are the R4 and M3 simply the same." Just wanted to make an informed purchase this time. That's why I asked...

Just to update ive purchased the M3 Simply and am now waiting for the Tracking# :p

I hope I can get it to run Advanced Wars Ds without any glitches. (One of my favorie games)

Also I tried Kirby Squeak Squad on my MMD and it wont let me save. Do you know If M3 Simply will let me save my progress. If it does can I do it all on the DS or do I have to make a file for a save with my PC first?

Im crossing my fingers this time Hoping I did not purchase anouther dud.

Thanks for the post

With the M3 Simply and the R4DS all you have to do is drag and drop the game into your cards drive and choose the game (Once you have the cards software installed). The first time you play a game it will ask you if you want to create a save file. I have not heard of a game yet that does not save properly on the M3/R4. It's very simple compared to GBA Carts and other DS carts from the past. The forums here cover most of the details and questions you may have about operation but I think you'll find most of it is pretty intuitive.
