Sony Filed more Controller Patents

A patent filed by Sony on November 7 2002 went live on January 9 of this year. The patent describes some sort of VR GLOVE which fits in the palm of the hand. Control sensors are mounted in the 'fingers' extending from the focus, corresponding to each finger. It also seems to be motion and tilt sensitive with pressure sensitive finctions too!

Umm, this already exists. It's called the P5 virtual reality glove. Can't remember the website, but you can buy it (it's for the PC) for $15 these days. It senses movement on the X, Y, and Z axis, and also detects the bending of individual fingers.

I like how the patent system is so flawed that someone who clearly hasn't invented something but preyed off of previous work can file a patent as if they created it.
