Ok, now i have purchased two sata 6421 cards, messed about for about 3 weeks , am about to throw the flipping thing through the window.

Does anyone operate a flash service or chip service in the crewe, cheshire area of UK. you might just save my 360 from hitting the wall.

use the search function, type in ms28 and dselect the 360 hacking forum and it will throw up loads of stuff.

also you live in the same place as gameworldirect so contact them.

I had a go last night to get this to work, I believe the problem might be that i need to disable the raid on the Via 6421 card... anyone know how your supposed to do this?

I gave up myself with the Ms28 drives. I too have the same MB as you and could never get the chance to type anything on the DOS prompt, as it would hang on the prompt as soon as i turned on the 360.

I did everything explained in the forums and it did jack **** and nothing was mentioned about pc's crashing when the 360 was turned on after booting to the dos prompt. So it seemed i was the only person in the world with this problem:p

Leave all sata cables unplugged until you reach the prompt. I found that crashed my box.
Also read this http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=563397

Another idea would be to try the card in another box, I have trouble doing anything in my fuji-siemans box, but no prob in a dell.
