IDEA! Max-Drive GCOS 100Mbps Streaming

I can load GCOS.dol and Utility.dol with my Max-Drive-Pro.
In the Utility.dol is an option wich lets you change your Gamecube-NIC to 100Mbps (if its true) and an option for reloading a dol file. I wanted to test Streaming with 100Mbps but I dont have PSO I have only a bba. acl.dol or other streaming loaders dont load with Max-drive, maybe they were made to work only with PSO, I dont know.
It would be great to stream with 100Mbps if this works.
Maybe someone can figure it out how to get it to work.

afaik is the max EXI speed 27Mbit/s

Max speed is 27mbit and if you're talking games then GSIM from Starcube should work fine on Max Drive. Works fine using the SD adapter method at least.

The 'utility.dol' can be used to stream @ 100mbps in two different ways:

1. With any method that allows you to load a .dol onto your GC and then reload a .dol over the network, but only with a custom .dol reloading server running on the PC. PSOLoad v2.0a does not correctly reload .dol files @ 100mbps. I released a custom .dol reloader to achieve that about a year ago(?). I released it along with utility.dol.

2. With SDLoad configured to reload back to the main menu. If properly configured, triggering the "reload" feature in utility.dol will cause the SDLoad menu to be reloaded. From there the acl.dol loaders can be loaded (first initialize the network using utility.dol).


Finally you'll need a custom streaming server capable of supporting 100mbps streaming. I released one a few months ago (Loader100). This release also included 'utility.dol' and the custom .dol reloader mentioned above. It supports streaming with the older ACL loaders as well as the GCSim releases.

Having said all of that... as Vollstrecker and TestType mentioned, the effective transfer rate of the external bus is 27 mbps. Any benefit of using the older ACL loaders @ 100mbps seems insignificant. Also, the GCSim releases have their own network initialization routines and do not need utility.dol or any other custom programs to stream @ 100 mbps. They should work with a BBA and any method of loading a .dol file on the GC.
