What exactly is this default mhz? 222? seems to run at 222 for me, if so, why is it called default and there's option for 222 as well?

i would guess 222mhz couse thats what sony calls default..

Maybe because different games play at different speeds, psp at one speed and psx at another. so its default for whatever game your playing instead of running them all at 1 certain speed.

it's called deafult because it's the "normal" proseccing speed for the psp, 222mhz is what the psp is ment to use

Sony deliberately underclocks the cpu so they can state a longer battery life, it is actually rated at 333MHz but runs at 222MHz by default.
