SEGA Announces New Q1 Virtual Console Titles

SEGA today announced FIVE new titles which will be making their way onto the Wii's Virtual Console, all of which are ports from the Sega Genesis/Megadrive.



These games will be released throughout Q1 2007 and include: Streets of Rage, Bio-Hazard Battle, Gain Ground, Comix Zone, and Bonanza Bros.

"The Wii Shop Channel is a great avenue for gamers who want instant access to classic SEGA Genesis titles," said Scott A. Steinberg of SEGA of America. "Legendary titles such as Streets of Rage, Comic Zone and Bonanza Bros. are a perfect fit for this platform and will be ready for download later this month."

Streets of rage series has one of the best gaming soundtraks of all time (Yes I did just say that). Streets of rage 2 is the best out of the series. #1 is sorta lost in it's time. But you can still enjoy 2.

Bonanza Bros is awesome...one of my genesis memories, i remember spending like 5 years remembering the gameplay but not the game title, drove me craaaazy, same with that one mickey mouse game with donald duck working alongside...i remembered just the crawling under the mine and pulling donald through, couldnt remember the name...THIS PROVES IM GETTING OLD, 18 years old and i cant remember ****...

i am still a massive fan on #1, even though it had smaller sprites, no real 'special' moves etc compared to 2 and 3 its still my favourite...and that brilliant soundtrack!!

Thats one reason i never sold my meegadrive!

...yes, you are definitely right. The SOR Soundtrack is REALLY one of the greatest but, the SOR 3 OST isn't just as good as the first two's.
