Hye all, Happy new year,
May I ask if the "unlocking" of the video component limitation of the video accessible by the XMB is on the black board for a 3.XX OE-X edition ?
Actually, the video limitation for our encoded videos (AVC/mp4) is 360*240 maximum. Jonny (PmpMod) & Magic (PMF player) succeed to unlock this feature and have integrated it in a Homebrew called PMPAVC...
But i'm dreaming now of AVC 480*272 (or more ;) videos/mp4 directly accessible from the XMB's video tab with the move forward feature (index time), resume (on/off) function supported...
So Custom Firmware Masters ... is it on plan or not ? (please say yes... ;)

I don't think they unlocked full res AVC, they found a way to make it work. It's pretty different.

Sorry, 320x240 to be correct.

No, it doesn't unlock anything. It's a homebrew player which can play full res (480x272) AVC videos muxed in the PMP container.

Yeah, accessible from the XMB would be a nice feature - for now, we'll have to stick to running from the Game menu.
And having resolutions above 480x272 is pointless - it only makes it more difficult for the PSP to decode and resize.
And PMP-Mod AVC supports the other features, I believe.
Anyways, lets hope there's a way to implement PMP-AVC loading from the XMB. :)

I have a question concerning this very same thing.
It appears that the upcoming release of 3.03OE-B will support AVC 480x272.
But now I would like to figure out how to convert to that resolution so that when the OE-B is released I can test immediatly.
According to Mathieuhl it can be done with 3GP converter ;
"you can use 3gp converter with modified templates.ini to do the job of converting videos to MP4 480x272 avc"
Does anyone have any idea how to make that template.ini?
Maybe someone can point me towards a helpful tutorial or if someone knows a program that supports this resolution they can tell me what program?
Thanks in advance
