1st: Mario Kart through Snes9x TYL 0.4.2 runs slowly, is this my rom, or the emu... Is it a known issue that is unfixable?

By slowly, I mean the game lags, the menu music etc all work fine at the right speed, but in game it laaaaags, the memory stick light isnt flashing, so the stick isnt being accessed, and also, It's fine on most other games...

2nd: VBABOY has no sound and is slow, is this again, a known problem? Is there a better GBA emu for the PSP?

gpSP is the best GBA emulator in existence ;)

As for Snes, try reducing the sound from 44kHz to 22kHz and using FS1 or 2.

Couldnt get Mario Kart running 100%, made it smoother by disabling Smoothing & knocking the sound down... but still not fantastic.

Tried gpSP prior to PSPVBA but couldnt get it working, will give it another go.

Oh you are not wrong! gpSP works and is superb!

Shame Mario Kart on the SNES emu performs worse than the GBA... I noticed there was a DS bios, dont suppose theres a DS emu? teehee?

For SNES try these settings:

Video
-Engine = accur. software
-Video mode = fullscreen
-Smoothing = yes
-Speed limit switch = yes
-Speed limit FPS = auto
-Frameskip = 2
-Vsync = no
-Render PAL as NTSC = yes

Sound
-Sound mode = emulated, output
-Output frequency = 44100Hz
-APU cycles ratio = 100.00%

Misc.
-PSP Clockspeed = 333Mhz

Let me now how they work. ; )

Changing renderer to Software+Hardware or only Hardware might also help speed (and/or cause minor glitches).

From these setting it tries to change one to one the functions until you don't find that more performantes.;)

Seems a lot better for MK especially, not tried anything else, but is there anything else worth trying :)

Many thanks!!

So, your saying that it won't speed it up? It seems to speed up in glowdown and my case.

BTW, love to avatar.

No problem.
