Turn off BGM in mario kart? or a stream fix?

anyone knows how to turn off the BGM in mario kart to make it run smoothly?
or is there a stream fix for it similiar to the one for the f-zero?

Which loader do you need to run this? 1.3? Also, is it with A or B setting?

there is no sense or use for the A/B setting anymore, it would make no difference whatsoever.

Hi all. First post and all that ;>

I don't have a problem with the audio. My only problem is that the shadows on the game are messed up and actually go down in 3d below the ground and are visible through objects. Also the game crashes after a while! Does anybody else have the same problem? By the way I'm using all the latest versions of everything!

i get the same problem with the shadows, dont know what causes them though, they can be pretty annoying Havent had it crash yet, using version 1.3 at the minute. cant wait to ge the original for some net play!

why on my gc it has an obviously slow down when BGM is on? (sometimes the BGM goes off for a few seconds, the the game does run really smoothly at time)

This is just a ppf file (I guess) instead of a iso or gcm file.
so why dont you give the link? I dont think it is illegal

It disables some (read *some* ... not all) of the in-game BGM. This gets rid of the momentary freezing that keeps occuring, and less in-level cashing.

It does NOT fix the broken shadows etc, nor the dodgy framerate.

It gets rid of the music there is some noticealbe decrease in stutter, however with no music the game kinda blows. I still get slows downs (last lap warning, countdown to start) I will probably be using the nonpatched version.
