psp-ps3 remote play from any wifi spot???

i have though about this topic for awhile.....I have a 20 gb ps3 and i didnt know that the 60 gb version is needed for remote play......i was thinking that a firmware update might fix this,by allowing remote play thru a wifi router,but all i heard is that remote play uses ad hoc, witch u canot use with a wifi router attached to a ps3.....but the firmware that will release allong side the euro ps3 lanch has the remote play from ant wifi hotspot arround the world......i am just wondering if that will be working on either ps3 version???

I haven't been able to remote play thru my neighbors access point yet. Not sure if I should be able to or not tho. Works cool thru my own, I just wish there was some type of games available to play thru it. Haven't tried a BD with it yet. Is that remote playable too?

no right now u can only look at pics, play music and movies saved to the ps3 hard drive, so just hook up a psp to the ps3 thru a usb,copy the movies and music to the ps3 and look at it thru remote play,

well, i was just reading your signiture and it says that you have a 20 gb and a 60 gb ps3 so just use your 60 gb ps3 for remote play. :D ..unless of course it was a lie to make yourself feel better... in that case you can't enjoy remote play like the rest of us. :D

i dont have to lie to make me feel better..... I accually bought a 20 gb PS3 first cuz all my store had left were 2 20gb PS3s, i thought if i hooked up a wifi router
to it i could jet psp-ps3 remote play, but i was wrong so i tried to excange my 20gb for a 60gb but they wouldnt let me since i had allready opened the box and used the system, luckely my friend said he would buy me a 60 Gb ps3 if i gave him my 20 gb ps3, so i did but my friend has a shitty 20 inch tv and he just left his aka my 20 gb ps3 here at my house since i have a 36"HD LCD flat pannel tv
I do all my hacking on the 20gb ps3 and have updated the firmware to 1.5 now and i havent even updated my 60 GB ps3, i have yellow dog linux on the 60gb
and fedora core 5 on the 20 gb,I am filling up the 60 Gb HD with movies, music and photos, while I play all my games on the 20 gb
