I wanted to know how I could turn off the IGR for Evox 3935. I know I can go in the settings part of the menu and set IGR=No but I want to even disable that. So no one can just turn it on by going in to the menu. Is this even possible?

Thanks,
Kyle

IGR is not a dashboard function but a bios function the dashboard can only override ie button config and yes or no what you would need to do is edit the evox ini with an entry for each game like done with some apps i.e

[RDTOOLS]

Enable = Yes
Name = SlaYers_EvoX
IGR = Yes

another way would be to try and find a bios mod tool that supports IGR disable similar to XBool but this does not support this feature. Unfortunatly I do not know of any :(
Finally you could set all the following to yes meaning accidental pressing of all is highly unlikely

[IGR]

Start_Button = Yes
Back_Button = Yes
L_Trig = Yes
R_Trig = Yes
White_Button = No
Black_Button = No
A_Button = No
B_Button = No
X_Button = No
Y_Button = No

So what you are saying is if I flash a bios that does not support IGR they evox will not have IGR even if IGR=Yes ? I know evolutionx released their bios with out IGR but from what I read the M8 has it built in now. EVTool has an option to switch the IRG but not turn it off. I will ask dootdoo about this seening as he made the IGR from my understanding.

Thanks,
Kyle

hey lifeforce as long as Evox is your default dashboard it doesnt matter if your bios supports IGR but if it isnt ur default dashboard it most likley wont work or wont work correctly. yes some bios's are built with IGR so evox isnt needed but for people using old bios's like me which dont support IGR its best to just use evox as ur default dash. also lifeforce if you was thinking about asking dootdoo that might be kinda hard coz he aint been online in about 2 nearly 3 months now and hasnt been answering his PM's so i dont think he will reply if you message him. i hope this helps some.

I set his xbox up with UnleashX as the default dashboard and there is a link to Evox I added in the menu. Only reason why he needs evox is for the trainers to the games. UnleashX does not have IGR built in like evox does. Do you know which version of the M8 BIOS does not have IGR? All the M7 bioes are with out IGR correct? Right now it is setup with IND 5003 and it has so many diffrent types of IGR and I cant disable them.

As for dootdoo I bet he is off working on a trainer for all the games in the request forums.:) Maybe or life is just busy for him to get on at the moment.

Thanks,
Kyle

here's the low-down:
most bioses have built-in IGR. as long as the bios has IGR, disabling it in evox won't do a thing since the bios will patch every XBE it loads with the IGR flag. if the bios has IGR, it's reccomended to disable it in evox to prevent possible loading problems/lockups. if IGR is disabled in the bios but you have it enabled in evox, it will still be active since evox will still be patching the XBEs it loads for IGR.

since you want to completely disable it, i suggest you switch to an X2 bios (4981 or 4983) since IND-BIOS 5003's IGR cannot be disabled. (i still prefer IND-BIOS over X2 bioses though)

X2 bioses will look in E:\ for a file called "x2_IGR_disabled". if it's found, IGR will be disabled in the bios. just create a blank text file and rename it to "x2_IGR_disabled" (with no extention) and ftp it over to E:\

Thanks atomiX I did not check out the X2 bios disable I always thought it was with XBTool that I did that. I am just going to set evox up to be vary basic that way no one can turn on IGR through the menu but only if you FTP to the xbox.

There is always a way around everything.

Thanks,
Kyle

hey, i figured this would be a better place to ask rather than make another topic, if i leave the bios igr on and turn off the evox igr, will trainers still work? cause right now i have the bios igr turned off, and the evox igr turned on, but i've always liked the bios igr better....

for trainers to work, you need to enable TSR in the settings menu.
