Here's an update on the Nyko intercooler which is heading to the PS3. It will be shipping during mid-january and retail for a price believed to be in the region of $24.99.

Reduce the internal operating temperature of the PS3 while prolonging the consoles lifespan. The PS3 Intercooler is a snap on cooling attachment that easily connects to the system to significantly reduce the internal heat of the console. The PS3 Intercooler provides increased air flow throughout the system which allows the internal circuitry to perform at cooler temperatures and last longer. No internal modification of the system is required. A pass through power connection utilizes the existing PS3 power supply negating the need for an extra AC adaptor. The unit also powers on and off automatically with system and the intercoolers small size will fit in tight spaces like entertainment centers with your sysem displayed in either horizontal or vertical format.
