Hi All

ive noticed over the last couple of months my Samsung ms25 is getting very noisy when reading disks. Im using xtreme 3.2 with cmc mag D01 media as can't afford verbs.

I have heard that hitachi drives are noisy but I cant imagine anything noisier than this Samsung!! Could my drive be dying or do other people hear this?..click..click...click...click...click.

Starting to do my head in!!!

Mine also started doing a weird clicking noise too. I have a toshiba drive in my 360, and I've only had it for about 3 weeks. While playing Burnout Revenge, sometimes the drive will spin down while it's loading to go back to the menu from just playing a race. It also takes MUCH longer to load. Sometimes I get that clicking noise once it spun down, and even last night a message popped up saying the disc was unreadable (just like the problem some people have been having with Gears of War discs).

What do we do?

Originals seem quiter in mine as well. I should have paid the extra for verbs!! not sure how much more punishment my drive can take.

I would definitely pay more for Verbatims. I was using "Fuji branded" Riteks, and switched to Verbs. Much better. Faster loading, seemingly slightly clearer graphics. Drive is still a bit noisy though, even with originals.

different discs can affect how good the graphics look in a game???
