Early today we posted news of the PS3 being delayed in Europe until September '07. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe boss, David Reeves, has informed GamesIndusty.biz that "We're still on schedule to launch PS3 in March throughout the PAL territories. All speculation otherwise is without foundation." So it seems that Europe will get the PS3 in March after all.

[Quote]According to Pachter, a delay is only likely to occur if Sony introduces a price reduction for the console. "Now that they have added HDMI to the US$ 499 SKU, they could decide to launch at a lower price point in Europe, and could explain away the delay that way - as in, 'We have to ramp manufacturing of the new and improved SKU.'"[/qote]

Personally who give a Rats' Behind (i.e. Arse),?!

1) It's going to be at least FIVE MONTHS LATE (+ the way things are going).
2) It has almost no content, but it would seem like S0NY™ are pushin' the BlueRay™
Crap like they've been trying to do with UMDs' on the PSP™ (e.g. Movies over Games Content),.
3) €599.99(EUR), €599.99(EUR), €599.99(EUR), €599.99(EUR) (I could go on but, I'll stop now),.

Basically my point is given S0NY's™ prior backing to the PSP™ System, and to how it's currently
fairing, against it rivals.
I wouldn't touch a S0NY™ Gameing Rig, other then say a PS2 with a 10' (i.e. Foot), Pole.
And, most certainly not One that's going to * See Point Three!! * cost that much.

So this will probably leave me with Microsoft's'™ FAILBOX2 System (e.g. Xbox 360™),.

Cause I love my HDTV to much (which was actually cheaper then a PS3 by a cool €100.00(EUR)),
to let that Bane of LCD / Plasma Screens everywhere near it!.

We'll how about removing yourself from the PS3 forums. Please.

IMO, it could still go either way. On one hand, the delay "news" is just analyst guessing and that's wrong more often than right. On the other, Sony were the LAST ones on the planet to admit PS3 wasn't coming last Spring so you can't take what they say as fact. They haven't actually met any original launch goals yet (specs, dates, supply, etc) so I wouldn't be surprised if they did have to push back the EU launch.

Ive got a 10' (3.048m) telescopic barge pole... is that good enough? Won't touch another Sony product too... PSP was the last product... Lik-Sang was the last straw... btw: I already predicted a September release date months ago...

If you remember, they pulled the same crap in the U.S. Rumors of a delay, denial of delay, announcement of delay. Considering they can hardly supply North America and Japan as it is, a delay in Europe is nearly certain.

IMO, I don't think they'd want to be screwing around with release dates again because of what happened with the PSP stuff. Many people are getting fed up with their delays and I think the 360 and the Wii will gain most of the gaming market in Europe if it is delayed again.

They've already given a head start and they want to catch up with the XBOX 360, well they'll need to release it soon as in March.

Personally, I think Blu Ray will benefit the games, I have no idea how its gonna benefit the movies though.

Sony announcing that it won't be delayed suddenly makes me think that it might be delayed. That said though, even if they can only launch in Europe with 1,000 PS3s, it'll be better than another delay. Another delay will just make Sony seem less organized and less capable, which wouldn't be good for anyone still waiting for a PS3, or for companies planning any PS3 development.

Anything less than 100,000 would be worse than a delay.

One thing is certain, Microsoft™ could have a major advantage and could even possibly even crush S0NY® in this 'Next Gen' Era.

The only way they can do this though is to get the correct content to the Masses.

BTW: Galyo is not or Gears is what I'd call proper content.
Ok those fun loving Gun toatin' Yanks that might be there 'E'-Ticket.
But, I'd define 'Correct Content' as Blue Dragon or IdolM@ster.
The XBOX sorrly needs more J-RPGs' and more Anime/Manga Tie-ins'.
Such as the PS2™ has enjoyed.

Given how well the PSP™ has done over the First Year since I've had it,
I've found only One Game that I truly believed was worth what I paid for it,
that Game was Breath of Fire III.

I don't know why it should be so hard to find PSP™ Games here in Germany, but it is!
And trying to find RPG's for it is like tryin' to Fish in the Desert!
Upshot I don't buy many PSP™ Games.

I don't know what possessed me to think that S0NY® could pull off what others were not able to.
Beat Nintendo at there own Game.
I soppose I thought a little of that PS2™ magic would have rubbed off on it.
Instead S0NY® pwn us with Dustballs!

I can not be Arsed into a PS3 until a Year from now more likely Two Year's from now, and after a nice healthy Price Drop too...

You can hold your PSP some longer, years later you can sell as a museum piece as an attempt of Sony to get the handheld market... same goes to "mylo"...

Funny I was starting to think we'd might see Duke Nukem 4-Ever long before GT on the PSP™... :(
