Is it possible to play imported game on Wii?

Is the US version of wii able to play the original japanese imported game?
Is there any software like the freeloader (for gamecube) specially for wii?

Currently there isn't any way, but some suspect that a freeloader will be made for the Wii.
Others suspect there is a simple hardware modification, as like previous Nintendo systems, to allow atleast Japanese games to run on a US system or vise-versa.

Neither has been proven so far.

there are iso's floating about on a torrent site i saw in another thread but its a registered tracker and its closed. ppl on the site are saying they work but its unconfirmed on here and on qj. we must wait unill some1 puts it on an open track or a news group or somthing. apparently the checks are on the dvd's themselves. cant be sure but lets wait and see
