in Devhook go to other menu and look for SFO Version Fix and put it ON or fix

Yes it is, and put it to 'SFO 2.xx -> 2.00'
This is the first manner.

Then you can try to install DA 2.71SE-C firmware. No need to devhook.

You can either:

Swap from demo disc to gta: vcs disc in devhook

Install 2.71 SE-C and run it normally.

2.71SE is a custom firmware, update to SE-C it is the latest version and it works like 1.5 when it comes to homebrew for the most part and a recovery menu allows you to downgrade whenever you want, but believe me you won't want to.

There is a guide in the stickies about it; http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=32221

Sorry
struggling here
2.Download the 1.5 and 2.71 eboot files (both attached below)
3.Rename them 150.pbp and 271.pbp accordingly.
verify that your Memory stick is NOT fake (Risk if it is: 1% chance of bricking)
4.Download and UnRAR the CFW from : Here or the attachment below.

can not find the attachment belwo and not sure what they mean by CFW

thanks

The 2.71SE firmware is a modified 2.71 with internal HEN core and 1.5 kernal and lots of other features such as built-in iso loading, param.sfo patching, recovery etc.

Get the 2.71SE-C from Dark_AleX's webpage here; http://dax.lan.st/

It is second down under projects.

I'm guessing you have already got the 2.71 and 1.5 eboots, psp-hacks is the best place to get them if you haven't. Rename these to 271.PBP and 150.PBP

It is recommended that you restore default setting under system settings before proceeding.

Enable USB.
Copy the 'PSP' folder from the 'NEW INSTALL' folder to the root of your memory stick.
Copy the 271.PBP and 150.PBP to the 'seupdmaker' folder by going in 'PSP' then 'GAME'
Disable USB
Run the seupdmaker on your PSP to generate the DATA.DXAR, it will verify that it has generated the file correctly for you.
Now enable USB again and copy the generated DATA.DXAR to the '271seflasher' folder.
Disable USB.
Make sure your PSP is plugged in to the mains just as a precaution
Run 271seflasher on your PSP and accept the agreement.
Wait a couple of minutes and you will be done.
You can then remove all that was involved in the update from your memory stick.
