As far as I know, the images wouldn't load on your emulator.

The officicial from Sony are some EBOOT files, and they are bound to your MAC-Adress.

Hopefully, someone else can tell me that it is possible to run .BIN images on devhook (PSX games i mean)

When you download a PS1 game through the PS3 to put on your PSP, it gets listed in the memory stick. You are not going to see an icon called "PS1 Emulator" in thew XMB.

To even think you could try running an iso of a PS1 game with the PSP as it is really shows whoever asked it didnt really think to hard about it at all.

for those who have been living under a rock...

there are core elements of the emulator in the psp. there is no way to access this "emulator" like you traditionally would with a computer. the games aren't ports, they are the real game, but they are in eboot format and are sent along with a certificate file. the certificate file and game are tied to your psp.

The MAC adress is Unique for each PSP unit and its in hardware not in software so you cant just change your MAC adress.

I dont think the ps1 game eboots are tied to your mac address, i believe it has something to do with the certificate utility.

people have recently found where the region code/serial number/mac address are stored in the psp. I have see pics of harleyg with a custom mac.

on topic: hopefully someone with a ps3 uses devhook, that is the only way for us to know if it works. i feel most people that have a ps3 either dont know about homebrew, or just have the ps3 just to sell it. OR they just dont wanna buy ps1 games, lol. (if u have to buy them..which im almost certain u do)

Ok i have a ps3 and i DL tekken 2 from sony store last night.It wont run the game at all.Everytime i try to run the game psp turns off and resets its self with the blue screen and back to 1.5 i go.

Someone should upload the PSone games while they aren't certificated yet, it should be not much of a problem to decrypt them, maybe some people with knowledge could look into them.

BTW, is it possible to change and/or spoof your ID storage ?

I already answered this in the DH 5.01 thread. I have a PS3 with 2 PSPs. 1 PSP has 1.5fw with DH 5.01 on it while the other PSP is a TA-82 with 3.01fw. Devhook 5.01 DOES NOT work with the new PS1 games for the PSP. It will try to run the game but freezes the PSP and turns it off. It also messed up settings on 1.5fw where I had to put in my Language and all my settings. My PSP with the 3.01 will work with the PS1 games.

The PS1 games comes with a certificate you have to download to your PSP to work. The games shows up under your Game/Memory Stick. It has a icon of the game and a background. I uploaded the game and cert to zshadow of exophase yesterday. He wanted to see the encryption of the game and how it worked. Anyone else need the game so we can have it running under Devhook let me know?

What is the file extension of PS1 game? is it an eboot? Maybe this whole cert thing is the answer to loading homebrew on a FW3.0X... all it needs is some reverse eng.
