I've recently acquired mario cart DS i have been playing online with no problems apart from not being able to connect occasionally. Though today for some reason I'm having no joy at all! I've tried resetting my router and an re-registering it I.e. putting the wep key in again in the initial setup it finds my router and my neighbours full signal i enter the wep key for mine and i try to test settings but it refuses to connect?!?! I've also tried connecting in the game and still no luck!? Does anyone know why and could anyone offer any advice thanks in advance!!:p

Edit: I also tried a Rom of the same game from a different region
Sorry I Also see this question has been asked before so have i been banned!?? I see fifthelement says it's not possible for nintendo to know your using a rom!??
If I have been banned can someone explain how to change DS wifi code?
Also i just noticed that i cant change erase my nintedo wfc config in the nintendo wifi setup

Sorry again for starting a new thread :o but help PLEEEEASE

I have never heard of anyone being banned from playing wifi games because they were using a rom (Thats not to say its not possible).. in fact I've played lots of roms over wifi with no troubles.. But when problems like this arise, its hard to pinpoint the exact problem without a bit of troubleshooting..

1) Take out your flashcart and try an original cartridge on wifi, does it work?
2) Find a friend with a ds and have them try to connect to your wifi network, can they play wifi games?
3) Take your ds to a friends house/school/anywhere you can get access to a wireless internet connection and know the key to connect, and try your rom, does your ds work here?

Trying these things may help narrow down what the problem may be

as far as I know they work fine. Only game I tried was Mario Kart.

if the ds is flashed, can the games still be played over wi-fi?
meaning the set is flashed using flashme as compared to a set that uses supercard and superkey (which would not require flashing)
