Cool, I'm looking forward to it! The first title may have had some issues, but that's what sequels are for! Hopefully more all-the-time swordplay in the second one, and even more weapons!

Actually I'm still holding out hope that there'll be a method of them distributing a patch to the Wiis that enables online play in Red Steel 1, once the servers & such are active & in place;:D

Ubi is indeed looking for someone with online (and RPG) experience. Red Steel 2 will be a MMORPFPS (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing First Person Shooter)? ;)

I hope they adopt a more "call of duty 3" control sceme for the next one.
Call of Duty has amazing control....Red Steel is good (not great), but the dead zone leads to a large learning curve.

I didn't played it but actually thats what I like about Red Steel :). Its more cover and shooting due to the fact that you can't turn fast around :) I watched the trailer @ gametrailers.com and I loved it :). Can't wait to play Red Steel :).

Instead there should be an exclusive Wii CoD like title :).

What I'd be excited to see next year when the Wii gets online is a Wii-exclusive, online multiplayer shooter by the guys who made the Timesplitters series.

I've always loved their sense of humor and their art direction, and that style of wackiness would play perfectly on the Wii.

After that, my dearest wish is that they release Goldeneye on the virtual console and somehow engineer THAT to be internet playable. That would be awesome. :D

Let's all prey that the sequel is FAR better than the original. Any of you who have yet to play it, I guarantee you will not finish it. Yes, there is a learning curve, but that's no it, it is completely uncontrollable! Being on the retail side of "things", we have had to return 6 of the 8 we sold in the first 5 days. I had "rented" mine, and instead of keeping it for 4 days, I brought it back the next day. I'm going to try splinter cell tomorrow.
A glimpse of my worst fear is in sight, that the "wii-mote" is going to be some gimmick that is kinda cool on a couple of games, but when it comes down to the real gaming, it just doesn't work. I really hope not as I love the big "N", they just need to either tweak or not rely on so much of the motion-ness of the control and get down to business.

You can't get used to a simple gimmick, so it's the controls fault. Interesting...
Personnaly I had no difficulties to finish the game. It's long and not very hard (but defenitivly not easy) but the controls never were a problem once you understood how it works. But that's only my personnal opinion, some might think different.

I actually find the controls to work quite well once you get used to them, and even that doesn't take long. I have a video on my website of me playing Red Steel for the first time. Not only was it my first time playing Red Steel, it was my first time using the Wii period. I start off being fairly inaccurate, but by the time I reach the rooftop at the end of the first level, I am actually well-adjusted to the controls. I'm not great, mind you, but good.

Part of this probably has to do with the fact that I am a fan of Time Crisis, but I think that also added to a bit of disorientation at first as well. If you try to point your remote at the point a badguy is on on the screen then you are going to miss. You have to develop a sort of third reality, where it isn't just the world on screen and your living room, but a third space where you actually aim the remote. Once you get the hang of the movement it actually becomes quite natural.

One thing I want to mention though is that I hardly ever use the A button to zoom in unless an enemy is far away. I find it a lot easier to simply aim and fire without going in to the auto aim powered zoom mode. For anyone having trouble with the controls they should probably try recalibrating them.

I feel that Red Steel is actually a very good launch title and that too many people are blaming the controls for a lack of patience and primary skill. Too many gamers are just not taking the time to get skilled at a new style of controls. After going so long with analog sticks it can sometimes seem daunting to learn a new style of control, but it is worth it.

Yes indeed that would be absolutely lovely. But Free Radical is now making HAZE for the XBOX360 and one TOP SECRET LucasArts game for an unkown system :)

LucasArts Joins Forces with Free Radical Design to Create New
Next-Generation Entertainment Experience

LucasArts furthers its commitment to creating unprecedented next-generation gameplay by teaming with the lauded UK-based developer

Let's pray this is one more cool title for the Wii by the creators of TimeSplitter :) Maybe a new StarWars title ? Cause Factor5 is now on another system ? Maybe some light sabre WiiMote fighting thing ? :)
