Couple quick questions.

I bought a Datel Max Media Dock and I hateit, it sucks horribly. I want a DS-X sooo bad. Here are my few questions.

1. Will DS-X go into sleep mode when closing the lid? (MMD clicks and flashes and never sleeps)

2. Can you format the drive safely like the compact flash card that MMD uses without losing the interface?

3. If I back up my save game from my store bought copy of a game using homebrew such as rein will I be able to use that save on a backed up rom on the DS-X? I don't want to lose my $40 FF3 saves =/

Yes.

Yes.

Yes. The .sav needs to be in 'generic' .sav format (SuperCard format). I'm not sure what format REIN uses, but there are ways to convert from and to different formats.

Sweet! I ordered mine last night from mod-chip.com... it said "preorder now for the 3rd batch, there are still some spots left!" So I hop Im just in time! *crosses fingers*

I just noticed you don't have a way yet to extract your original save. I think REIN needs an M3 or SuperCard. Also, the G6 Lite can extract saves from it's menu. So you'll need to find someone with the right equipment to extract the save first :o

Yeah, I already thought of that. Luckily, the poor saps I showed my Max Media Dock to before I returned it rushed out and bought one so I can just use theres to get a save through rein. HAHA
