Rumor: Gears of War drives 36 year old Man to beat up Kid

We're not sure if this is completely true or not, but given the popularity of Gears of War, it might just well be. A 36 year old man reportedly assaulted a 15 year old kid after an argument erupted over the last copy of Gears of War.



36 year-old named "Deion" started yelling and tried to cut in line in an attempt to purchase the last copy and a brawl started. The older customer sent a barrage of fists and harsh language at the younger patron. The police were then called. "Deion" was arrested for aggravated assault and is currently awaiting arraignment at a local correctional facility.

doesn't really surprise me, i thought i would have to do some yelling in gamestop last night when they ran out of collector's edition for public selling and someguys tried to buy my reserve copy right infront of me :mad: that the clerk was checking out. nothing was getting between me and my game last night! and it was worth it

If this story's true, it is sad that some people get that obsessed with getting their game... I mean, sure, I waited to be 1st in line for Wii Pre-Orders, and I've pre-ordered Zelda & Red Steel for it, but if I don't get it, it's not the end of the world, and certainly not worth bad feelings for people, let alone assault... It's people like that who give decent, mature gamers a bad name...

they would have asked him for some ID anyway.....

and as for that Sad 36 year old, he should know better,
