Are you an idiot, or just slightly techt?
Wario Ware is going to be amazing, Raving Rabbids is said to be fantastic, and Monkey Ball has been getting some incredible, incredible praise saying the game was meant for the Wii, as well as everyone who played Excite Truck loved it.
I am guessing since you haven't played any of them but they're all crap, you're an idiot. Just my scientific observation.

at least I now know when I turn 65 ill still be able to play golf on my wii.
Ive got a ds, and its cool and all, but the touch screen WOW factor wears off in about an hour. and most games that use it dont implement the stick well. I feel the same way about the wii. the motion sensensing will wear thin, especially for racing, fighting games. the motion sensing in FPS's will be pretty realistic though. its going to be tough Playing metroid/zelda for long periods of time with your arm extended out for a few hours. that light wiimote will feel heavy as a brick after a couple hours of gaming.:)

Eh watch the metal slug vid and try to make those stupid comments about getting tired with this kind of control schemes (as it demonstrates several different ideas that could work on other games) in that thread :)

Even for FPS games you don't HAVE to extend your arm either, read some reports before you spread bs... all the initial reports about red steel and metroid said it was just as easy to play using slight wrist motions while you rested your hand on your legs like when holding a normal controller. Sure red steel has the sword fighting but that can probably be "faked" with small flicks and even if it can't be it's still not a major part of the title as it's primarily a FPS anyway and the sword fighting is just as a break from the shooting action.
Of course there will be games like Wii sports that require exagerated movements, it would be stupid to not make that kind of games. It's equally stupid to think that games which aren't meant for this sort of instant short bursts of fun are going to require much from players though. Especially when all the reports so far indicate that's not the case and that they work equally well if you want to go for more "realism" and do things like in the videos or if you want to just casually game and hold them in your lap. In fact even Wii sports can be "faked" according to people who have played it, it's simply more fun to do the "real" movements and play it as was intended.

What? 80% of the games on the DS would be either completely unplayable or a pain in the ass without the touch screen. I have a good feeling this will be the same for the Wii as well.

what fun is that? do you aim a real gun with your wrist on top of your KNEE??
maybe thats how your going to play it and Faking Move gestures. Im not spreading BS its the truth. im pretty sure your aiming will be OFF by having your hand on your legs trying to shoot Metroids off of your FACE accuratlely.
Like I said the novelty will wear off quick. and all of the cool games will be dumbed down to use the wii control scheme. take for example GUILTY GEAR for the DS. it sucks because they tried to make it work with the stylus. it would have been a great game if they just left it alone. And where is STREET FIGHTER???? I guess it would be a Joke to have to motion a half circle on the touchscreen for ken to do a fireball!
the best games for the wii as far as the wii remote usabilty will be:
monkeyball
warioware
that mario galaxy
Zelda will have its WIiimote moments
metroid
redsteel.
racing games will be lame(control wise)
fighting games(control wise)
I have a feeling there will be a lot of sword fighting games. so hopefully they make a star wars light sabre type game. a Game like red-steel but in the star wars universe would be cool.

oh yeah more like 40%. mario basketball is more fun using the face buttons. warioware is unplayable without the stylus. Metriod is a little easier for me using the Buttons also like 007 goldeneye on N64. that new spongebob game is all stylus, and its anoying but fun at the same time. I play my DS more than my PSP. Im not knockin on the DS, but I wish they would pump out some more games. "cough"smash bros."cough":)

First you complain that it's tiring, then when told it works equally well in a not tiring way you say it won't be as fun. Of course not, but the fact is you can CHOSE so that you don't get tired if you are so weak you can't hold a remote for long periods of time. And no, your aiming won't be off, it works as a virtual mouse and not a lightgun you see. Get reading on the Wii before you trash it with idiotic speculations presented as fact.
Anyway, of course I don't aim a real gun with my wrist on my knee, but I don't aim it with a crappy analogue stick either so wtf is your problem with that?
The truth is you are spreading bs, sorry.

Why would I hold my arm extended for 30 minutes while playing metroid. Do you hold your arm out, fully extended while changing channels on your TV also?
