This program allows you to browse through the list of files present on any Gamecube DVD. When this program is loaded with your favorite Gamecube code execution tool, you will be prompted to switch discs and you may then insert which game you'd like to browse. You can switch discs at any time.

Looks like some good homebrew development tools and projects are in the works !

This is a nice tool , who else has tried it ?

I haven't tried this or any other GC dev app that has been made, I like I am sure many other people are waiting for a viable reason to buy the cube, eg: When there is a modchip available. I do think I would have a Cube regardless of this however, but, the fact would remain I would want to experiment with the homebrew dev tools and utilities, so therefore I would want some modchip / modhack method of utilizing the Cube to it's upmost potential.

I see a great GC scene future just around the corner...

If you know asm/c++ pm me as you could help make some very useful tools including tools allowing the booting of gc copies or dev discs possibly. depending on how successful the software is ;)

creating cheap GC optical discs is impossible, unless you want to spend 100,000$ or even more on just the material you need to make them...

a totally new dvd module as a replacement for the current media reader might work, but i'm not a hardware specialist so i can't confirm this.

hacking gamecube executables to make it read files from an external source using high-speed port is another solution..

i'm an excellent c/c++/asm coder, but you seem somewhat clueless on the subject...

i merely posted like that to attract more coders.. more people want to see gc copies running in there gamecube than seeing good proper proper programs being executed via the pso backdoor. However, speculation has been continuing for years now and it was suggested to me that i hired some coders to write an apploader that loads gamecube executables from disks.. However, at this time that project is not being dealt with and more useful projects are being started for those interested in the dev scene... My aims are not really hacking the cube but to see what can be done with it... if you would like to help please stop by #gcdemos on efnet and i would be happy to fill you in... im not clueless on the subject by the way i was just trying to recruit more people to our cause..
oh and dont get too cocky

I too am waiting for the great day when a swap disc or chip method of running unsigned code on a GC dawns.
Until then my pennies stay in the bank ( like many others I'm sure).

the_one: perhaps if you mention what kind of projects your team is working on it is easier to get some people interested. If you for example working on the EXI I'm interested :D
