REIN for Animal Crossing not working.

I have a M3 micro sd and a passcard3. I've used REIN 17 to get my former savegames for nintendo carts onto my M3. I had no problems until Animal Crossing. Every time I try it, REIN says:
"FOPEN ERROR
NG
FAILD COPY."

Anyone have some advice?

Try renaming your rom and uploading it through the game manager so that it creates a new default save file with the same name (maybe just Animal Crossing.nds or something like that)

Try overwriting the new .dat

Sorry for bringing back an old topic, but I am having the same problem. I was able to do this with Mario & Luigi: Partner's in Time and Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, but not FFTA2 or Etrian Odyssey II.

For backing up and restoring saves to Animal Crossing DS using a slot-2 device, you have two major options: RAC and NDS Backup Tool. The first is specialized to Animal Crossing and preserves your town name (or something to that effect, check the homepage to see exactly what it does), while the second works with nearly all DS games. Use these instead of REIN.
