my O my what shocking graphics.
Heres something ive found about nintendo Fanboys "graphics are not everything, and dont really matter"
OK i could agree with that quote but do people recall when Resident Evil 4 came out on the ps2? all they went on and on about was how much better the "graphics" were on the GC version. Even though there was not a massive difference both ign/gamespot agree they went on and on with comparison sites showing the difference between the 2 versions.
blah :) there got it off my chest.

but hey welcome to the world, and the world is full of stupid people.Yeah and people defending Sony were going "graphics don't matter" and now they're bragging about how powerful the PS3 is.
Let's just stop being fanboys and enjoy the games.

he means people defending the psx and ps2, whose "power" were not as great as its competitors (at least thats what i think he means)

I own both RE4s for my cube and PS2 and I can tell you first hand the graphics were not as nice on the PS2. The jaggies were very ugly, but the game was more fun because of the added stuff.
If I didn't play the cube version first I really wouldn't care about the graphics at all and that may be the problem here.
We all know the Wii can't push graphics like the 360 or the PS3 yet people still want to compare it to those systems.
I was looking at getting the next COD for the Wii instead of my 360. I was just playing an older COD for the original Xbox and it was still a great game.
Did it look as good as my 360 COD? No, but after a few minutes how many of us are still sitting there saying "cool graphics". Not many because we're immursed in gameplay.
If I wanted the best graphics I would never use a console, but I would turn to FEAR or HL2 on my PC....and sometimes I do, but for me the "wow" affect of graphics wears off after a few minutes....maybe some people are different, but don't label me a "fanboy" because I have an opinion that is different from yours.
Back on topic....
I heard with COD for the Wii that online just won't be working until next year. So has online been cancelled or just delayed?

in the past we have a similar example of this new console WAR... if you remember the N64 graphics where a lot better(less pixelized)almost 2x better then the psx... anyway the psx was the best selling console on that time. and why??? well one of the answers to that question is.... because of the great psx gamepad.
Graphics are great and maybe important for some people but at the end is the game that gives you fun!!
ever hear about mame??? many games are great!!! and YOU doesn´t matter about the graphics.
and btw..... LONG LIVE NINTENDO! even if i like Sony aswell

The great psx gamepad that was **** for any good 2D fighter and had a crappy directional pad. The same great psx gamepad that sony replaced with the dual shock later down the road after Nintendo showed the world how great analogue control is with their N64 pad? Right.

At first the N64 had better grafics than the psx, but by the end it was diffently clear that psx had better grafics. Look at Donkey Kong with its expansion compared to Final Fantasy 9. The difference was amazing. Also N64 couldn't play movies like the psx either. I would say that the controller for psx was extremly better than the one for 64. The 64 had controlls for 3 hands. Were we susposed to have a friend help us play games or was it strictly for the physically deformed that had 3 hands? I still don't know why they went with that design. The analog stick was a p.o.s. also. The psx didn't break easily because it wasn't made out of very thin plastic. During the 64's life i own both consoles and only needed 2 controllers for psx, but I ended up buying over 7 controllers for 64 because that one piece would break. I would say that the reason the psx sold more than the 64 is not just because of their controller, but because of games like final fantasy 7, Parisite Eve 1 and 2, Grand turismo, and of cource gta 1,2, and london. But it also has to do with they could play pre-rendered movies, have voice acting because their discs were larger, and play music cds.

I have NO idea how you used to use your N64 controller, but I had 3 which I used for years (one mine, one my brothers and another for friends), and neither of them broke. And I was literally addicted to my 64

i bought 4 N64 controllers for multiplayer golden eye. 3 of them ended up breaking at the same place over the years. I did play the 64 alot though. But I play PS2 more than any console and their controller has never broke other than the cord having a break in the wire which is common on any non-wireless controller

the 64s graphics could pee on a psx, if they were programmed right, turok 2 and star wars that used the expansion pack looked absolutely stunning and were easily confused with dreamcast gfx, they were probably the first games of the generation to use a higher res, funny how it went pretty much un noticed, unlike the high def "revolution" sony and M$ like to remind us about at every single oportunity.
i never had an n64 pad break on me either, although the sticks did get very loose after a while. Probably due to the fact we played mario party all the time. the trident design worked perfectly, 3 hands? wtf? the analogues on the ps1 were better ill agree, but that rubber came off the top of those pretty easily, and the sticks got in the way of the buttons sometimes, far from perfect.
The only reason they were better is that they had time to see how nintendo made them and copy it, making minor improvements, shame their copying didnt quite work out for the PS3 ;)
