I just got a psp off me mate, seems bricked. The psp has never been networked connected, and has never been downgraded, only upgraded with sonys official firmware. He purchased tekken umd recently, went to play and it said you need to update the firmware so he turned off the psp, went to turn it back on and bang, green light, no sound no picture. This is really frustrating. He has now gone out and brought a new psp, and left this old one with me and i wanna try fix it or get it repaired. Any idea of aussie prices to have this repaired???

it's about 90-100 bucks to buy a new motherboard for the PSP, you can get any kind I believe to slap into the PSP, TA-079, TA-080, TA-081 and you can downgrade those all to 1.5fw

Ebay has a few up atm, I've got bids on one of em lol ^_~

uh yea... lets not recommend psp modchips, to people who do not know how to solder SMD!!! plus the chip is way to expensive for what its worth..
