A quick little rant about nintendo. Why did I think this console was going to better than everything else? Even after a mod chip was installed...ugh. Wasn't worth it. One of the 2 starfox games were good. Luigi's Mansion...Resident Evil 0 and remake. I'd say 4 but I picked up the ps2 version and liked the fact that is was only one dvd ;) . No real mario game to speak of, I wont get started on Mario Sunshine... I liked mario kart ok, nothing I would have ever gotten excited over. Zelda was... a bubbly cartoon. And now the only thing saving this overly altered console of mine is the fact that the new zelda actually looks good. Too bad nintendo didn't do this before. And all those games that had that get the gameboy advance to unlock content...or you cant play more than 1 player in this zelda because you must hook up your gameboy advance...neat idea. Nintendos only focus in money, they couldn't care less if they make their players happy anymore. And as a huge castlevania fan...all i have left for nintendo is the gameboy advance and ds versions. Yuck, the last 2d one I liked was the turbo duo version, Rondo of blood. And that got butchered and sent to the snes as drac-x. When did nintendo go wrong? N64?

I remember the lawsuits way back when they tried to nail gaming companies with. Sunsoft was one of them, from what I remember it was all about BATMAN coming out on the sega genesis. Nintendo wanted it to be only for their 8 bit system. And dont get me wrong, I loved it. But the genesis one was halted in japan for along time because of nintendo. I remember alot of us buying that damn game for like $120 because we had to import it. It eventually came out here though.

Back to my dusty, clear cased, modded poo poo box. Thank capcom for some of the only good games that came out on it. They were outstanding. This console had so much potential. Love the controlers, love the look, love the mini discs. Absolutely loved Luigi's Mansion. All the other games i had with the exception of the RE's and Nintendo's own titles...we're on everything else. I snagged a ps2, sucks when it does that low res switching crap, good ol pixel station 2. But it has so many titles to choose from, who gives a crap. Champions of Norrath would have been better on a more powerful system, Devil may cry...etc. But the games are all still good. Xbox, my favorite over heating, door stop for a castle gate, Microshaft tool. Hell, I got it just for the fact that I could soft mod that bad boy and watch divx and play emulators on it. The games are usually really good. Just not enough to choose from. If Evil Dead : Regeneration came out on Cube, I would have gobbled it up. But no one will support my little dust bunny. My dreamcast gets more use. Even if it's only zombie revenge ;)

And so, with a heavy heart, I await the next zelda...hoping that it will bring life back to this little box one more time. As I'm sure it will. And to nintendo, you're all gimmicks and no games. I dont want to look like a turd burgler in front of people swinging a stick around, I just want some good titles to play. And we know sony will top the controler somehow anyways. As much as I hate the MS and the Sony...I'm going where there is more fun, more to choose from. And from all the info coming out that Wii looks almost Identical to GFX on the cube... Zelda will be the last game I get and it will be on the cube.

Man, I like nintendo no matter what... you're being bitter. Let's not forget about how squaresoft's games went downhill on the sony systems and every one ever made for a nintendo system has been completely awesome... ie. crystal chronicles... what about monkey ball, or metroid, what about eternal darkness, or the mega man collection.... you're overlooking alot here. Pikmin was a good game although it looked childish... still fun for puzzles... and RE4 was one of the greatest games of all time, and it came out on the cube first. Nintendo knows what they're doing, you don't need to worry about that.

All I know is, for the inbetween machine of its generation, it loaded the fastest, saved the fastest (relatively speaking), produced the best graphics, had a lot of "custom made games" (tailored only for Nintendo, and were really fun), and had the coolest BIOS...
I'll be seeing the Wii very soon.. till then, enjoying my GC for a few more months :)

** Not to mention the cheapest, AND most innovative... **

I used it for mostly Japanese games. That and Rouge Leader was pretty cool. 2 player co-op star wars action.
