I just ordered a Supercard Lite, and now THIS comes out...

*sigh* time to break into the little one's Piggy Bank :p

You may be happier with the lite.
This is limited to 512MB and doesn't play GBA games.
With your card you can go to 2GB (I really wish they would lose the Gb speak).

I was in the same boat. SC Lite or DS-X. I ended up grabbing a SCL Black + Passwe 3 online yesterday, plus a 2gb sd micro. I think/hope I'll be happier with the ability to play GBA games as well as 4x the space to store games. This is my 1st cart, actually I don't even have my 1st DS yet heh. Waiting for the US black release date.

I also hope the SC Lite is compatible with the new DS Lite (black) coming out in about a week. Same goes for Flashme, as I'd like to change firmwares too.

Same no one uses bits anymore :/

But none the less this is one of the nicest flashcart sites ive ever seen

It's your fault for not knowing the difference between bits and bytes.

Well in his defense Mb and mb are quite confusing. Even to the computer literate.

Fantastic! I've placed my preorder at Divineo Germany. Why does Divineo have such a bad reputation? The order processing seemed OK at least, now let's see when/what arrives :)

I'm quite excited. I just don't believe that a card solution that requires its own custom software on the PC side (patching of backups etc.) makes any sense at all, so I've been very underwhelmed by what the other groups have to offer. Giving us a flash cart in the shape of a USB mass storage device is something that works across all operating systems with USB mass storage support, and that includes all major ones (Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X and Windows). It's the "duh!" thing to do.

If the product works like they say it does, this will mark a huge evolutionary step in DS flash cart development!

Maybe the next step is including a MicroSD slot in the same cart ;)

Seems so, because mb = millibit :p

Mb and MB are often used wrong by the way, those are decimal units not binary ones as used for memory.
The correct abbreviation to use is Mib and MiB (info) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_prefix), though I also often use the wrong abbreviation.

Yes, but we can't start calling them kibibits and mebibits though, can we. :D

That is not OFFICIAL INFO!

Dear fellow maxconsole readers, be not misslead.....

The Official statement about the release date on the OFFICIAL DS-X FORUMS (http://forums.ds-xtreme.com/showthread.php?t=79) clearly says there has not been an official statement and that the release date is unknown for now!

So this is just a rumor/speculation. Here is a direct quote:

Hello,

As currently the hot topic is the Release Date, i wanted to clarify a few things.

As of now there has not been a true (official) release date announced. So any source claiming to have "OFFICIAL" information regarding our release date/shedule is holding onto a claim based on speculation; No matter what their source may be. There is NO OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED, anything you read is speculation and Un-Official.

As of the current standings, there is no release date for the DS-Xtreme available since we clearly have not made any Official statement. We will be announcing the release date once we are 100% Confident to have the product completely finished on our own Website (http://www.ds-x.com) (and not on a News Website) to prevent any further confusion.

I am sorry that i can not unveil the release date for now, but once we are sure that the product releases at a certain date, you will be the first to find out if you check our Website (http://www.ds-x.com) regulary or this thread which i will update as soon as more Information regarding the release date arises.

Thank you for your understanding.
